The BIG CANOE® Community has 8 outdoor tennis courts and 2 indoor courts. Three of the outdoor courts are Rubico, which is the soft surface and plays like clay. The Tennis Pro Shop was Wolfscratch School back when the Tates owned the land. It still has the wormy chestnut walls.
Legend has it that one day during school a wolf walked up and scratched on the door. Thus the name, Wolfscratch School. The BIG CANOE® Community has USTA and ALTA tennis and Howard is the Pro. Every Sat there is Round Robins, etc. If you're a Tennis buff I'll take you over to meet Howard Hunt, our Pro and get you involved.
